running empty

it's funny how old friends run across each other. they would catch each other on the weirdest circumstance. here's my (our) side of the story. too bad the person concerned didn't email the pics as he promised.. it would have been fun to post marc's pictures pouring gas into his thirst drenched civic esi! those are moments that will never be forgotten.
as shallow as this instance seems to be.. it has a much deeper root. here goes.

as jill and i were driving along timog to find a nice place to eat at, her phone rings. and to our surprise, it's marc..

marc: dude! where are you? emergency.. would you have a way to contact glen?
jill: ah.. gusto mo makausap si glenn?
marc: yeah.. online ka pa ba? (YM)
jill: eto oh.. kausapin mo sha..

***
glen: sino to?
glen (to jill): hun wana eat at ortigas?
jill: sure..
glen: cge pare balik kami jan.. pero mejo traffic ah.. baka matagalan kami
marc: ok lang dude.. sobrang thanks..
glen: cge dude.. billi na rin ako ng gas on our way back

**text message from marc..
SNEAKY!!

and the rest is history! hahaha...
after that was a treasured evening of making marc feel bad for owing us BIGTIME! hahaha... he keeps on apologizing for ruining our date ni jill.. well.. fact is, he didn't ruin it, he made it! and paid for it too! there is nothing more a couple like jill and myself would treasure than to save marc's a!@ from causing definite traffic along shaw corner san miguel ave. and i felt that i had the professional responsibility of making sure the traffic marc causes does not affect my teams utilization due to agents coming in late for that reason. hehehe..
it's amazing how someone as successful as marc would forget that gas is what makes the car move forward. dude.. this is number 3 right? looking forward to number 4 man! you know my number.. just drop me a line! hehehe..
it's amazing too that by scrapping up all the 20 and 100 bucks from his bag.. he was able to pay for dinner and coffee.. by the way.. gusto ko yung bag mo pare.. akin nalang!
after that was dinner at metrowalk and coffee at starbucks pearl. surprisingly.. all we did all night was reminisce our past adventures and misadventures. don't you think the level of enjoyment we have talking about the past over and over is an indicator of how old we have become. dang! nonetheless.. we enjoy talking of these moments.. funny how much we laugh at each other's blunders! especially that bed blunder which both of us will never forget. hahaha..

'nuff said!
